Help refresh MedZou!

The MedZou Clinic is competing in the Pepsi Refresh Project for a chance to win a $50,000 grant. The grants are going to help fund great ideas around the U.S. If they win, MedZou will use the money to purchase imaging equipment.

MedZou is a free community health clinic in Columbia totally operated by Mizzou medical and pre-med students. It provides care free-of-charge to residents of Columbia who can't pay to see a regular physician or who don't have insurance. Because MedZou is in no way funded by the university, money from donors and grants are how MedZou is able to keep an open clinic. To be awarded this grant, MedZou needs support from the students of Columbia. You can vote for MedZou every day in the Pepsi Refresh Project competition. All you need to do it follow the directions below...

1. Send a text to 103787
2. In the message part of the text type in 73774
3. Hit send

Simple as that!

Homecoming house decorations and float - deliciously good!

The overall theme for the Greek Homecoming competition was board games - so it was a delicious surprise when DG and DU paired up to represent Candyland. Below are photos of our Candyland inspired banner, house decoration boards, and float!

Mu Chapter gets screen time on ESPN

In case you didn't know - ESPN's CollegeGameDay invaded Columbia this weekend. Broadcasts from the Quad, Erin Andrews at Harpos, and Homecoming festivities kept Mu Chapter busy and entertained all weekend long. If you watched the game on ABC you probably caught some quick looks at the House Decorations put together by Delta Gamma and Delta Upsilon. Elissa Curtis (10) and Carson Love (10) both got some prime time screen time when ESPN videoed their performance in the House Decorations skit and used it for cutaway shots between the game and commercials. It really felt like "christmas" in Columbia this weekend and Mu Chapter helped show the country why Mizzou is the greatest college and has the greatest fans!

Check back later this week for a full Homecoming post including photos, video, and results... until then join this video of Mizzou fans storming the field after the victory over Oklahoma University.

Homecoming Fling Prelims

On Monday night the DG and DU fling performance kicked off the beginning of the Homecoming week festivities. Mu chapter members, sang, danced, and acted their way through a skit all about Truman and Princess Frostine's interesting adventure through Candyland. The production was directed by Amy Voloto (09), Molly Bradshaw (08), and Carter Lindley of Delta Upsilon. All of the fling-ers put countless hours of work into the production and Mu could not be any prouder.

Also - members of Delta Gamma preformed in an IBA (in-between act) during Monday's fling performances. Members of the pledge classes of 2009 and 2010 sang "I Run to You" by Lady Antebellum. The IBA included accompaniment from guitarist Carson Love (10) and violinist Claire Darnell (10).

Also - check out this video below from Tuesday night's performances. In it members of Delta Upsilon preform their IBA, us bloggers thought Mu Chapter would enjoy this since none of us could be there!
