Mu's "Emerging Leader"

At the end of the school year Mu member 2012 PI CHI (PC '10) was awarded the Mizzou Greek Life "Emerging Leader on Campus" scholarship.

Of the five scholarships Mizzou Greek Life awards each year, only the "Emerging Leader" scholarship is given to a freshman. By submitting her resume, an essay, and a letter of recommendation from a professor, 2012 PI CHI beat out all of the other applicants to earn the honor (having a 3.9 GPA probably gave her a leg-up on the competition).

We were proud to have 2012 PI CHI represent Mu Chapter with this award and we are excited to see what she will do during her next three years as a member of Delta Gamma!

Mu Member Named Greek Week 2012 Director

Congrats to Nikki Braken (PC '08) for being named a Director of Greek Week 2012

This spring semester Nikki was a member of the Service Committee of the 2011 Greek Week Steering Committee. She is one of four members from the 2011 Steering Committee chosen to remain a part of it and lead it into the the future. Nikki will spend the next year choosing new committee members, working with beneficiaries, and prepping for all of next year's Greek Week events. It is a big job and Mu Chapter knows Nikki will be up to the task!

Good Luck to the 2007 Pledge Class

The last two weeks of school were full of a lot of "last" memories for the 2007 Pledge Class. From Senior Dinner to Senior Wills and Letters, and Mizzou events like Senior Send-Off and graduation ceremonies, the oldest Mu Chapter members made the transition from collegians to alumni. No words can truly describe their Delta Gamma experience over the past four years and there is no perfect way to say goodbye to this large group of seniors. They will be missed but Mu Chapter will anxiously be awaiting news of their latest adventures and their return trips back to 900 S. Providence, their true Mizzou home. From as far away as New York City, Austin, TX, and Los Angeles to a bit closer in St. Louis and Kansas City - it is all ITB for this year's graduating class.

Mom's Weekend 2011

This post is better late than never, right? The week after Spring Break Delta Gamma hosted its annual Mom's Weekend. Events included a social on Friday night followed by a show at Deja Vu Comedy Club and a day of shopping at the Mu Chapter house on Saturday. Many moms also took advantage of the opportunity to cheer DG on at the Greek Week events scheduled throughout the weekend as well.

Is there a better looking chapter house than Mu's? The correct answer is NO.

Seniors Abby Warren (pc 07) and Brittney Bloom (pc 07) pose with their Moms on Delta Gamma's front porch beneath the fabulous Mom's Weekend banner.
