On Friday, March 1st, Mu Chapter hosted our very first DG Diner to raise money for Service for Sight. We turned our basement into a diner and served sliders, fries and root beer floats from 10 pm - 2 am. Tickets were $5 and we sold them before hand and also at the door. Anyone was welcome! Other chapters on campus seem to do well with fundraises like this but we were a little apprehensive about how ours would turn out.
However, there was no need to be nervous because it was an overwhelming success! We actually ran out of food! All of the girls in the chapter stopped by and everyone had a ton of fun. DG alumnae, girls from other sororities and large groups from fraternities joined in and it was so great to feel supported by our Greek and Mizzou community!
In addition to tickets, we sold the super cute t-shirts that the girls are wearing in the pictures below. Our grand total was around $5,000! We are thrilled to be able to donate this additional money to our philanthropy.
Thanks so much to everyone who donated to the event and who bought tickets! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
Also, a BIG thanks to Mu members Courtney Bromley, Laura Hamman and Allie Dressel for organizing the event! Way to be a DG!
