Favorite class and why: Intro to Captive Wild Animal Management because in the class we learn about the opportunities that are available to us in the animal science field. Also, we learn about the care and behavior of exotic animals.

Favorite class and why: Math, I have always enjoyed math mainly because I have always understood it and felt that it came easy to me.

Favorite thing about DG so far: I love how comfortable you feel around everyone when you find out they are a DG. Whether I'm in a class, at a party, or in jones and I see a DG I always feel more comfortable. I am also always excited to meet new DG girls which I love. I also love the clothing and the ANCHOR!

Favorite class and why: Mythology, it is such a unique subject and I love the oral tradition of all the tales and I am amazed to think these same stories have been told for years and somehow, even in today's society, they are relatable and interesting. Even if it is all made up, I love how all the stories come together, it's a fun way to look at history.

Favorite thing about DG so far: THE GIFTS. What girl doesn't like presents!

Dream Job: I would love to be a second grade teacher and have an after-school fitness and nutrition program for kids!
Favorite Class and Why: My favorite class is TDP Elements of Health and Education course because it incorporates a lot of things that I am very interested in and passionate about. Some of these include teaching, relationships with students, nutrition, dieting, exercise, and mental disorders.
Favorite thing about DG so far: I love having an instant family and group of friends that I know I can always count on. I also love seeing fellow DG's around campus and being called a baby. Lastly, I love telling others that I am a Delta Gamma and wearing the letters because I already have a tremendous sense of pride for the Delta Gamma house and all of my new sisters that encompass it.

Summer Monkey Business!

Calahan Strickland (2009 pledge class) spent the first month of her summer interning at the Tulsa Zoo Living Museum. She had the chance to get up close and personal with all different types of animals including giraffes, grizzly bears, elephants, rhinos, penguins, birds of prey, lions, tigers, chimps and many more! Yikes! Although she enjoyed working with primates the most, she also worked in aquariums and the reptile and large carnivore departments. To the left is a picture of her in front of the chimpanzee training facility! Calahan says her dream job for the future would be to work as a great ape trainer. Sounds like this amazing summer opportunity has inspired her! She is already looking forward to a more intense internship learning to train great apes for next summer.
