Mu members help organize benefit concert for P.E.T.

What's better than kicking off Spring Break 2011 by attending a benefit concert for a local organization right here in Columbia? That's the question Mu members Kelly Nelson (pc 07), Jessica Hughes (pc 07), and their friends Sara Price and Dani Wexelman (both members of the Alpha Delta Pi chapter at Mizzou) asked earlier this semester when they began planning a way to help Personal Energy Transportation (P.E.T.) fundraise.

P.E.T. specializes in providing means of mobility, such as specially designed wheelchairs, to those in need in undeveloped countries. P.E.T. operates from Columbia and relies greatly on the local community to help provide funding for their operation. Nelson and Hughes, seeing this need, decided they could help motivate the Mizzou campus community to pitch in. All proceeds from the concert will go directly towards P.E.T. to further help their mission for mobility to others. Check out a video about P.E.T. below by KOMU's Alex Rozier!
