DGs race for a cure in the 1st ever Mid-Missouri Race for the Cure
More than 4,000 people participated in the fight against breast cancer by attending the first ever Mid-Missouri Race for the Cure on Sunday morning - and guess which girls were there, your DGs of course!
New member Elissa Curtis (10) helped organize a team of DGs to race in the event. The girls woke up early on Sunday morning to a huge thunderstorm, but they didn't let it hold them back. The entire event exceeded participant expectations despite the heavy storms. In the end, the fundraiser raised almost $150,000 to be donated in research for the cure of breast cancer. DG was so proud of our members who represented us in the race and we are so proud we took a proactive measure in helping battle breast cancer.
